Montage FAQ
Let us help you capture, preserve, and share your most precious life moments. You should enjoy every one!

How long does it take to create a Life Moments montage?

In general, it takes about eight weeks from the time we first meet with you to discuss your montage until the project is completed. That time includes a pre-production creative meeting, consultation on photo selection, review of the draft montage (either in person or on the Web), final edits and delivery of the finished photo montage.

There are times when we can complete a montage in as little as one week, based on our schedule. You’d need to have your pictures selected and put in order; you’ll need to know the songs you’d like to use; and you’d have to give us all digital pictures or scanned prints. In other words, you’d have to be ready to go at our first meeting.

Before we begin your project, we’ll commit to a delivery date. And since many of our productions are used as gifts for birthdays and other special days, we understand how important it is for you to have your montage on DVD in time for gift-giving. We’ve never missed a deadline, and have always delivered the production on time.

How much does a Life Moments photo montage cost?

There are many factors that contribute to the total cost of your montage. It really depends on what you’d like included in your production. We can help you determine what the best length might be based on the occasion and your audience, and that will be the most important influence on the total cost. Our basic package begins at $250.

How do I get my pictures to you?

You may send your photos to us in one of several ways. If you have digital photos, you may e-mail them, send them via FTP, or send us a CD with the photos on it. If you have prints, you may send us the original prints, or have them scanned and burned onto a CD to send to us.

How many pictures can I include in my montage?

The number of pictures on your Life Moments production is completely up to you. Our production style is to have approximately 50 pictures and transitions in a three-to-four-minute production. Some of our productions have included more than 200 photos.

Who decides on the music that plays on my photo montage?

We believe that selecting the music tracks that play along with your photos is perhaps the most important part of creating the right emotion for your montage. Generally, we suggest songs that our customers approve; we will also discuss with you the order in which they’ll play.

Sometimes, we suggest a song with which a customer is not familiar. In those cases, we can play the song for you via phone or e-mail the lyrics to you. We always look for the best match of lyrics and melody for your Life Moments production. Because of our experience, we have an excellent sense of what will work for your production.

What are your shipping policies?

If necessary, we will ship your montage in the least expensive way that gets the production to you on time. Shipping costs are paid by the customer, and as we develop the estimate for your production, we’ll include shipping by various carriers: overnight, US Postal Service, or ground express delivery. The more advance planning that goes into your production, the lower your shipping cost will be.

Do you have a return policy or guarantee?

While we do not accept returns or offer a guarantee, your complete satisfaction is our primary concern. At the start of your project, we’ll agree on what’s to be included in your project, including photos, music, and closing message.

If, when you receive your montage, you notice a deviation from our original agreement, we’ll make whatever adjustments are necessary at no cost to you. If you want to make changes for any other reason, we’ll reach an agreement on a fee and make the changes once you approve the additional cost.

Careful planning on your part will virtually eliminate the possibility of revisions. In the small number of productions that we’ve had to revise, it was to add photos that our customers found in their personal collections after the photo album on DVD was complete.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We regret that unless you’re paying in person, we cannot accept personal checks. We accept electronic payment via PayPal, and will also accept bank checks and money orders. If you’re not familiar with PayPal, we’ll be happy to explain how it works.
